Repost thosh.collins - People always ask, “what are you training for?” The answer is I’m training for life, I’m just doing it in a way that is gratifying for me. If you’ve been following long enough, you’ve probably seen or heard me say that a movement regimen should enhance your lifestyle, never take away from it. I should never be too sore or too mentally exhausted to carry out the goals I set for myself when I started this human experience. If I ever reach that point, then I’ve strayed from the original purpose of my movement mission.

Within the Keep Your Fire Strong movement framework, it all comes down to who, what, and why we train. First and foremost, I’m a father and husband; life isn’t all about me anymore, it’s about them, and in order to have clarity, emotional regulation, and physical capability, I need to take care of my foundational health, physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual. That is how I keep my fire strong.

I believe physical movement has three important elements. First, a creative, celebratory form of physical expression and gratitude. Second, training to improve your everyday functionality at all ages, from youth to old age. Third, a powerful way to prevent disease and promote longevity.

Along this journey, there are tools that help us, and for me, the Tracker AT by @vivobarefoot are one of them. Our feet are our foundation. Human movement evolved on land, and the low-profile, wide-toe-box design of these shoes is the closest thing to staying connected to the land, whether you’re in a gym or outside in the earth gym.

“Zoe and the Platform Creative team are fantastic partners. We needed an agency who could communicate our mission to the world. We loved Platform’s energy and enthusiasm for our collective. They’ve taken our mission and amplified it to a global audience. The quality and consistency of these results are exactly the outcome that we were hoping for to make changes happen.  Platform Creative have amazing global press contacts delivering us brilliant results in both traditional print and on digital platforms. Passionate, pro-active, and professional – they’ve gone above and beyond time and time again. Highly recommend.”
